Shoot, Develop, Print & Scan – A Hands-On Film Photography Experience.

Immerse yourself in analogue photography at my studio at Sculpture Lounge, a unique creative space set in a former mill, right on the edge of the Peak District. With reservoirs, woodlands, and rugged landscapes just a short walk away, this workshop offers the perfect setting to capture stunning images and learn the full film process – from camera use to developing and scanning.

Description

What to Expect:

Day 1: Shooting & Black and White Film Development
• Hands-on camera basics, settings and film loading
• A guided photowalk through the surrounding countryside, exploring composition, light, and manual settings (weather permitting – indoor loaction available as a backup)
• Hands-on black & white film development of your own shots in the darkroom

️ Day 2: Contact Printing, Colour Processing & Scanning
• Make a contact sheet from your black and white negatives in the darkroom
• Demonstration of colour film developing (C-41 process) as we process the behind the scenes shots from the weekend.
• Learn how to scan and digitise your negatives

Cancellation and refund summary

Sessions and courses are paid for in full at checkout. For open-ended sessions, we arrange the date afterwards by email. If you cancel before a date is agreed, you can receive a refund minus a £30 administration fee or convert the full amount into credit.
Once a date is confirmed, cancellations made more than 14 days in advance can be refunded or credited minus a £30 administration fee. Within 14 days, payments are non-refundable. Within 48 hours, bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Date specific group courses cannot be rescheduled. Refunds are only offered more than 21 days in advance, minus a £30 administration fee.
Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months and non-refundable.
